Youth Ministry Programs

Sundays
Youth Sunday School
Sunday Mornings starting back January 13
10:25-11:05 am - The Youth HouseHigh School Students meet upstairs in the Youth House. We’ll continue our year-long, Bible-verse memorization contest led by The Honorable Major Harding, The Real Boss Jane Harding, and Jake Farmer. Memorize the most verses focusing on God’s love and enjoy the fruits of your labors with God’s Word in your heart (and, as a lesser reward, the opportunity for a new iTouch!).
Middle School Students continue their Sunday mornings downstairs in the Youth House with David Zein-Eldin, Heidi King and Bailey Holmquist, as we memorize tons of Bible verses about God’s unfailing love, collect gold stars, try to win huge prizes as well as being forever changed by the power of God’s Holy Word. Donuts continue to appear, so come with a sweet tooth, too….

Wednesdays
Middle School Wednesday Nights:
1st and 2nd Samuel / How to Stay Christian in High School
Wednesday Nights, starting back January 16
6:00-7:30 pm - Youth HouseThe Fall was crazy and the Spring should be no different! Wild games, great fun and deep conversations about God’s Word – what more could you want out of a Wednesday night? We’ll finish up First and Second Samuel, asking God to teach us more about His love through the lives of Saul, David and Solomon. Then we’ll turn to Steve Gerali’s book How to Stay Christian in High School (which will answer the equally pressing question “Good grief! How do I stay Christian in Middle School?!’).
Real Life – High School Book and Bible Study
1st and 2nd Samuel / How to Stay Christian in College
Wednesday Nights, starting back January 16
7:30-9:00 pm - Youth HouseOur high school community will continue their study of First and Second Samuel, seeing the love of God in the stories of Saul, David and Solomon. Each night is full of fellowship, food provided by the great families of St. Peter’s church, teaching and discussion. After our study of these two OT books is complete, we’ll dive into J. Budziszekski’s great book How to Stay Christian in College, which is full of solid, practical advice about how to “be on your guard, stand firm in the faith, be courageous and be strong” (1 Corinthians 16:13). In all we do together, the focus will be on God’s love – how to experience it, how to stand strong and safe within it, and how to share it.
